About Rose

Rose served 4 years in the British Army as a dog handler. Rose began her military career as a protection dog handler, providing her with unique experience working with highly driven dogs with behavioural issues such as aggression towards humans and other dogs. Rose was then selected to complete an advanced handling course, becoming a search dog handler specialising in vehicle search. Throughout her final year in the Army Rose was put in charge as the lead individual for vehicle search in her squadron. This meant she was responsible for the coaching and mentoring of junior search handlers and was responsible for the training and development of eight dog teams.
Rose also provided rehabilitation training for retired military dogs to prepare them for the rehoming process. One of the highlights of Rose’s military career was her four-month overseas deployment on a training exercise as the only vehicle search handler.

Rose has always had a passion for working with dogs and began voluntary work at a greyhound rescue centre aged 14. Before joining the military Rose ran her own small business providing daycare and basic training. Through this, she has gained experience working with a variety of breeds, from puppies to geriatric dogs.

In her spare time Rose enjoys horse riding, hiking and cooking.
